Studio Assistant (Part-Time, 10 Week Contract)
Location: Print Art Studio, 77 Barrys Point Road, Takapuna
Start Date: Mid to End August 2025
Hours: 10am–2pm, 4-5 days per week (flexible)
Contract: 2 months with potential for ongoing work
About the Role
Print Art is looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Studio Assistant to support our fine art print studio and gallery in Takapuna. This is a short-term part-time contract with the possibility of becoming an ongoing position.
We’re after someone practical, independent, and proactive – someone who takes pride in doing things properly and can jump between physical and digital tasks with ease.
Key Responsibilities
- Trimming, handling, and packaging fine art prints with care and precision
- Assisting with general studio operations and print production tasks
- Maintaining the presentation and cleanliness of the gallery space
- Uploading and managing artworks on our online platform, Art Collective
- Assisting with admin tasks including artist communications and order tracking
We’re Looking for Someone Who
- Has a sharp eye for detail and a high standard of work
- Is reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently
- Can manage both physical tasks and light admin duties
- Is confident using a computer (experience with web platforms or light image editing is a plus)
- Is physically capable (the role involves standing, lifting, trimming, and packing)
Work Hours & Flexibility
Initial hours are 10am – 2pm, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility around scheduling. The role is based on-site at our Takapuna studio.
